Terms and conditions for application

What is our aim? The aim of this meeting is to strengthen the collaboration between basic scientists, biologists, geneticists and clinical endocrinologists.

What do we offer? Lectures by leading experts, presentations by trainees and break out sessions with discussion in smaller groups; cultural and social program in the evening at Budapest.

What are the topics? Promoting Research in DSD: CAUSES OF DSD · CLINICAL TRIALS · BASIC RESEARCH · TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE

Who should apply? Professionals from COST Countries* in their early stages** of career, from a medical or a scientific background. A balanced representation of the various disciplines, gender and countries is aimed.

What do we expect from the applicant? Active involvement in the care or research related to DSD, age < 45 yrs/ Early Career Investigator and presentation of scientific work or clinical cases.

How is the timeline for application? Deadline for application is June 27, 2017. Selected trainees will be notified in early July 2017. Deadline for presentations is End of August, 2017. Confirmation letters about the presentation will be sent until End of August, 2017.

How many trainees will be accepted? 30 trainees will be invited. Applications will be assessed by the Programme Organizing Committee. Some students will also be offered an opportunity to present.

How does COST support the Trainees? The Training School is offered at no cost. Trainees get travel grants as COST as contribution to the overall travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the Grantee. The grants do not necessarily cover all expenses related to attending the Training School. Once accepted as trainees, they will receive a grant letter. The fixed amount of the grant is graded from 150 € up to 600 € depending on the place of the trainee's residence. For the social program, which is mandatory for all trainees, we will collect a fee of 100 €.

**Early Career Investigator (ECI) is a researcher within in a time span of up to 8 years from the date they obtained their PhD/doctorate (full-time equivalent).
